The Games Children Play

1) Checkers, chess, board games…. Sounds familiar? These are some of the recreational activities offered to kids in most hotels around the world. We at Glenross Living want to introduce our guests to how locals spend their past time, the games the local’s children play.
2.) Learn how to play carrom. Carrom is a game of Indian origin and is widely popular in South Asia. It is one of the key pastimes of local villagers. Your butler will teach you the rules of pay. After you get the hang of it, it becomes quite easy. Just think of it as playing pool with your fingertips.
3.) Kites and lantern making has been something very Sri Lankan. In fact, the months of August and September are known as the kite flyers months, where hundreds of local kids fly their kites in the open fields of Sri Lanka. We will get together with your butler or host today and learn the art one on one. After it’s done, we set flight to colorful kites in the open fields of the hotel. Alternative you can make paper lanterns as well and display it at night outside of your room.
